Essential Layer Inc.(ELI), the B CORPORATION and GOTS CERTIFIED parent Company of Cottonique, does not use or incorporate any chemicals, harmful substances, synthetic additives, or non-compliant fiber treatments in the manufacture, processing, or handling of its products. All raw materials, accessories, and production processes used by ELI are aligned with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) requirements and other internationally recognized organic and safety standards.

Furthermore, the company ensures that:

  • Only approved inputs, such as certified organic cotton and GOTS-compliant auxiliaries, are used throughout the production chain.
  • No harmful dyes, optical brighteners, heavy metals, formaldehyde, chlorine-based bleaches, or toxic finishing agents are utilized.
  • No synthetic fiber additives, coatings, or chemical softeners are applied to the fabrics.
  • Strict material traceability and documentation are maintained to uphold product integrity and compliance.
  • All finished products are produced under controlled and clean manufacturing conditions, ensuring no direct contamination during production, packing, or handling.

In line with our continuous compliance with GOTS, ELI commits that any future consideration or use of any chemical input, even if deemed non-hazardous, will be subject to prior written approval from the GOTS-approved certification body before its introduction or application in any process.

This is to affirm our ongoing commitment to sustainable, hypoallergenic, and environmentally responsible garment production in accordance with GOTS principles.

Test Parameters

Scope:

This policy applies to all hypoallergenic products manufactured by Essential Layer Inc., including socks, underwear, bras, and other innerwear and outerwear products made of 100% organic cotton.

Responsibility:

The Quality Control Department is responsible for ensuring that all materials and finished products adhere to this chemical compliance policy. Records and certificates from suppliers are maintained to support auditing and verification.

Objective:

To ensure consumer safety, maintain hypoallergenic integrity, and comply with international textile standards and certifications.
