What's with the smell; it did wash out though

Organic cotton should not smell like chemicals, but this did. As soon as I tore open the plastic bag the products were shipped in, a chemical smell hit me in the face like a Mack truck. Each item was packaged in paper bags designed to hold the individual clothing item, yet one of those paper bags was wrapped in Saran wrap, I'm not sure why. I have noticed that cardboard tends to reek nowadays, at least many of the boxes I get from Amazon; perhaps it is from a paper manufacturing process, so whether it was the paper or the clothes in this shipment that reeked, I cannot be sure, but I suspect the clothes. The plastic shipping bag did not smell on the outside, but of course did on the inside since it contain smelly items. I had the same problem when trying to buy organic cotton sheets as numerous company's GOTS certified sheets reeked of chemicals that did not wash out and when contacted they swore they used no chemicals. I finally settled on Pact and Rawganique who's products, thus far, do no smell. Cottonique products did not used to smell and luckily the chemical smell went away upon washing, but it still begs the question, what has changed?

Winter Necessity!

I have been a long time wearer of the Women’s Base Layer. I love that they are now offered in Black. I am 5’6” and 150 lbs with hips. The size 7 fits perfectly, and stays up. I do not like under layers if you have to constantly pull them up, and these do not slide down.
I began purchasing from Cottonique several years ago, when I became highly sensitive to chemicals, even in clothing. This was my go-to company for undergarments and basics. I have since recovered from MCS, so no longer am triggered from scents. But, I cannot understand why this company’s products now reek with scent, and this has been continuing for quite a long while now. If clothing is sold as organic, it should never have a chemical fragrance. This is not the only product that arrives scented. That is why I rated these leggings a 4. I used to have to rush packaging and garments outside to air out, so I would not have a breathing reaction. Now, I just wash them before wearing. This is to forewarn those who are extremely sensitive, they probably will arrive scented until this company does something to change.

Sizing off

I assumed that since the leggings are 100% cotton they would shrink...and they did, by getting shorter! So now they're too wide and too short. Would have liked something longer and more tight-fitting.

Warm and cozy, but the elastic smells

Warm and cozy, but the elastic smells. I tried buying some of these a year or two ago, and the elastic smelled awful! I wasn’t able to wear those. I washed them many times, and aired them out for over a year, But the smell wouldn’t go away. I thought I would try again, because the first pairs I purchased four years ago had no issues whatsoever.
These ones aren’t quite as bad, and I might be able to wear them, but I’m still not very happy that the elastic smells so bad.

I love the organic cotton long underwear

I ordered three pairs of- 2 white and 1 black, size 5. The two white fit perfectly and although I ordered the same size in black, it is slightly smaller than the other two whites. I can still wear it and so I am not returning it. Just thought I’d let you know.
